ACTC works with the entire oncology community – from patients through to researchers. We offer a high-quality environment for multiple, simultaneous trials. The treatments we trial are still in development, so our trials are often first-in-human trials.
Our clinical trial investigators are highly qualified researchers in either haematology or oncology. They are experienced in running trials that might open up access to new treatments for those with advanced cancer. Our nurses are trained in both oncology and to the global Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standard.
ACTC is in a newly refurbished part of the hospital. It is private, calm and welcoming. It benefits from being located inside a large hospital, with access to other specialities, including an intensive care unit.
On site, we have:
- a micro-laboratory for blood sample processing
- integrated laboratory, pathology and radiology support
- IT systems for data capture, monitoring, and video/teleconferencing.
